Be Extra Prepared

Every vehicle should always have an emergency kit in it at all times. It will be a real life-saver one day. It should have all the tools you need to handle all different kinds of situations, such as a First-Aid kit, nonperishable food items, and bottled water. It should also have jumper cables, a tow rope, and a flashlight and batteries (batteries stored separately so that if they corrode, they won't ruin your flashlight).
It's a good idea to check and test your supplies from time to time to make sure that everything is stocked up and in good shape. If you live in a colder climate, be sure to bring items like warm blankets, hand and foot warmers, ice scraper, and sand or cat litter. Don't forget the tools you will need to change a flat tire and flares or reflective triangles. Just be as prepared as you can.
