Powering this new Ford model is a 181-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder. A 245-horsepower turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder is an available option as well. Both engines mate to an eight-speed automatic transmission, with the more powerful variant boasting steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters and enhanced cooling components.  

 

The Bronco Sport showcases its towing capabilities with a maximum capacity of 2,200 lbs on models equipped with the 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine. However, the standard three-cylinder powertrain limits the compact SUV to a towing capacity of 2,000 lbs.  

 

The Bronco Sport Free Wheeling package adds a bit of nostalgia for drivers who may have grown up in the ‘70s and ‘80s. It features 17-inch wheels with Ebony Race Red-painted accents and bright rainbow stripes on the seats. Regardless of the trim level, the Bronco Sport ensures an all-wheel-drive experience across all models.  

 

Interior Features 

The Ford Bronco Sport offers an upright seating position and ample rear-seat legroom. The cargo area can be customized with a slide-out table doubling as a workspace, a 400-watt power inverter, and built-in LED lights inside the rear gate for overhead lighting. The rear gate even features a glass hatch and a built-in bottle opener which makes it a good choice for tailgating.

Equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen supporting Ford's Sync 3 software, every Ford Bronco Sport includes standard features like Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Optional upgrades include SiriusXM satellite radio and a B&O audio system.
